When you sit at the large mahogany table - originally from Alfoxton Park - to enjoy your breakfast- should a line from Wordsworth or Coleridge cross your mind a family legend may
just have credence. The dining room has two large sash windows overlooking the garden lawns and the Jurassic coast beyond.
Whether you wish to just relax and dream on the blissfully cushioned sofa or curl up in one of the snuggle chairs and read, this room is definitely for you. There are board games and jigsaws too to while away the time and of course the stunning view of sea and hills.
We have a secluded garden perfect for those warm summer days. There are Edwardian canopied deck chairs, a hammock strung between two cherry trees, and a living willow bower, so you will find endless places to sit and read or contemplate while enjoying the ever changing view of sea and sky. Why not have a game of ‘Greenhill’ croquet with its added banks and tree obstacles to add extra challenge?
Greenhill House is a few minutes drive down to the sea shore car parks. For those who would like a walk it is only fifteen minutes down into Lyme and perhaps twenty minutes back. There is also a local town bus service that stops in Somers Road that runs five times a day.
We do have one parking space for each bedroom.
Enjoy views of the stunning Jurassic Coast in our dining room.
